Contemplated voting for the Fed, wrote-in Google instead.
Precisely why Monsanto got my vote...they are b*stards...Congresswoman DiLauro’s (sponsor of the bill you referenced) hubby has ties to Monsanto.
Natural News is an outstanding website...don’t agree with some material, but it is chock-full of excellent advice and health tips.
For what it is worth, I have read that site for years. Lots of conservatives believe in nature's medicines, so I do hope this thread doesn't devolve into the narrow minded "stupid liberals" mantra.
It is almost a knee jerk reaction for pubbies to get their panties in a wad when anyone says something bad about a corporation. Well you know what, some of them do suck, and Monsanto is one of them.
I chose “Other: U.S. Congress”
Couldn't agree more. There are some areas in which left and right cross; gardening and 'alternative' care being two of them...it 'kills' me to read Mother Earth magazine, but there is just too much good gardening and farming info in there to turn my back on it just because I don't care for the name of the publication. :-)
I don't see taking care of my piece of ground as a political stance. I personally think that most of what is wrong with this country could be fixed if everyone had their hands in the dirt everyday, providing for themselves.

I have no great love for any meagacorporation, but the word "evil" is bandied around far too much.
And also true, if the food safety bill doesn't affect you there is no real reason you would ever have knowledge of Monsanto.
Try "sinful". Very few people or organisations are actually actively evil. Wrong perhaps, or misguided. Maybe even downright bad. But not evil. If you call someone evil you risk making them a kind of whipping boy and thereby excusing your own shortcomings. The Human problem is not that some of us are evil, it is that all of us are not quite good enough.
And also true, if the food safety bill doesn't affect you there is no real reason you would ever have knowledge of Monsanto.
Ah...one of those organisations that like to keep a low profile eh? They are unknown to the masses, but secretly pull all the strings?
Excellent statement.
Monsanto is a massive multinational corporation. You undoubtedly have something in your posession right now that they made.
Michael Crighton's last book, Next , could very easily be about this creepy company.
