Ping. “Forbidden Planet” I will concede is/was ‘art’ as opposed to ‘entertainment.’ I watched it on AMC last evening. It still works.

Yeah - they’re were prototyping the Star Trek uniforms that wouldn’t appear for another decade.

It was an adapdation of The Tempest. The design was very high budget for an SF film. It was MGM so it had that sheen.
