That's just AMAZING, as the last time that I had an OBVIOUS gluten-reaction was when I ordered the french fries, so I presumed that it wasn't a dedicated french-fryer; amazingly, my mate who can eat anything, insisted that it was the ketchup that sickened me, even though I insisted that it was Heinz, and thus safe.

I will keep my eyes peeled for the "artificial beef flavor."

Actually, I almost never eat anything that I don't personally cook... from scratch, but I'd mistakenly presumed that the french fries & ketchup would be SAFE, after all that ruckus years back about them frying their "gluten free french fries" in the same oil as all the breaded foods.

McDonald's advertised their frenchfries as "purely vegetarian" yet they added tallow to the oil. Some Hindus sued their pants off for fraudulent misrepresentation.

The Hindus won. Then McDonald's quit putting tallow in. That's where that artificial beef flavor came on the scene.

Fortunately they didn't contaminate the frying oil. Instead they contaminated the ketchup.

It's still the ONLY place in America where they generally make an effort to assure the french fries are gluten free. Do not trust any of the others.
