It isn’t that hard to make your own soup that is a lot better for you. Roast a whole chicken on Saturday. Enjoy a chicken dinner and then remove the remaining meat and boil the carasses with a carrot, onion and celery. Drain and strain the broth and put in the fridge. Defat the next day and make your soup with the leftover meat, some veggies and some rice, noodles or spuds. Yum. And made with real food. For the price of a couple of quarts of store chicken broth, you get a chicken dinner AND the soup.

I seldom eat can soup. I just wanted something that I ate with Grandpa. And it tasted funny. lol

That's exactly what I do - but, as I live alone - I get a good four meals off the chicken before making the broth - and then a good 6 bowls of soup - VERY economical and time saving - cook two times - get many meals
