Toledo, Youngstown, Cleveland, and Columbus means the rats have to realistically get 4 seats.

So far, we've been able to carve up Columbus in such a way as it has no Dem congresscritters and only did for the years of 07-08.

Realistically the Dems will have 4. 1 Toledo based, 1 Youngstown based, and 2 Cleveland based.

Interesting question: will the districted out Republican be the one to take on Sherrod Brown for the Senate in 2012?

Right, but that's the problem. With the way Columbus is growing, pizza slicing it is probably going to backfire by the end of the decade.

Cleveland doesn't really justify 2 districts anymore, imo. It makes much more sense to create a Columbus based district.

There are basically 3 things imo that will choose the Republican district to be chopped.

1. Someone runs for Senate. Jim Jordan's 4th is a great district to chop up, but he's backed away from running.

2. Someone royally pisses off Boehner.

3. The 2 new guys out west (Gibbs and Johnson) are tossed together.
