All the names are there in the foggy recesses of my mind.
Silver - the Lone Ranger
Bullet - Can't remember — although I keep seeing a Royal Mounted Police Force guy in my mind.
Buttermilk - Dale Evans?
Trigger - Roy Rodgers
Scout - I have guilt that I can't remember that one. So I must have known it at one time.
Nellie Bell - wasn't that Roy and Dale's Jeep?
Diablo - Cisco Kid's horse or Zoro’s (another one of my all time favorites — such a handsome fellow sigh)

So tell me, who did they belong to? I always thought a lot of the guys who would kiss their horse at the end of the episode, rather than the girl. I know I would have. ;-)

This from Wikipedia is as I (75 YO) ...remember:
One relatively minor aspect of the character that tends to be given limited exposure in the actual productions is his blood relationship to The Lone Ranger, another character created by Striker. The Lone Ranger’s nephew was Dan Reid. In the Green Hornet radio shows, the Hornet’s father was likewise named Dan Reid, making Britt Reid the Lone Ranger’s great-nephew.
Bullet was Roy’s German Shepard Dog.
Nellie Bell was a Jeep. I believe the character was called Pat who drove it all the time. Real life name may have been Pat Buttram???

That was Sargent Preston of the Yukon, and his lead sled dog, Yukon King.

BTW. A trivia question for Freepers old enough to remember the Lone Ranger Radio program. Who did the voice of the Lone Ranger?
