It’s conditioning. Just like the West Wing was. Think of these shows as modern morality plays or propaganda to influence the people into thinking a certain way.

It’s just more subtle now. The methods are the same. It’s how otherwise normal people are conditioned to hate America, Christianity, heterosexuality, the work ethic, etc.

I didn’t see the episode but I’d be surprised if the actor who portrays Stabler would agree to spout that kind of horse manure. That character, Detective Stabler, is a former Marine and has usually been the voice of sanity on that program.

TV shows and movies portray a liberal view, that’s the answer.

Do you ever see TV or movies portray homosexuality in a bad light, for example?

Is a terrorist ever a Muslim, or any minority for that matter? Aren’t they typically caucasian, skin head type dudes?

How often are people portrayed having casual sex, without consequences, awareness of consequences, or any discussion of same? How often is casual sex presented as normal everyday behavior?

I’m sure there are other examples, but you get the idea. Liberals run the entertainment industry, and the most extreme have a social/political agenda they want to push through entertainment. Even the less extreme believe in casual sex, so they see nothing wrong with its portrayal. The most extreme bend over backwards to avoid offending Muslims or minorities, but go out of their way to insult mainstream Christianity.

The agenda is out there.

The female actress is Mariska Hargitay, the daughter of Jane Mansfield.

Christopher Meloni plays the male Dick.

The producer of the show is a LIB. (Dick Wolf)

Law and Order SVU exists to malign parents. Kids are harmed in every way imaginable by their own incompetent, sometimes downright evil parents. Businessmen and the clergy also are portrayed in a bad light, consistently. Only the good guys-the gubmint, can rid society of these scourges.

I can't watch it anymore.

you must not watch much. they have produced a large
number of shows that go after american military, soldiers
who have been in iraq and afghanistan, mormons, etc.
according to their writers, you are more likely to be
killed in new york by visiting christian than anyone
else. saw recent rerun of episode in which former female
soldier is killed because she was gonna testify against
comrades for murdering iraqi people.

I’ve watched that show several times, but never again. Everytime I watch an episode I end up completely depressed. If it isn’t some horrific sex crime, it’s that they portray the cops as almost as mentally disturbed as the perps. Not that they show the cops as bad people, they don’t, but they are portrayed as depressed, unhappy, maladjusted. And that’s how the show makes me feel, so I gave it up.

We also tried the new Law and Order Los Angeles (or whatever it is), it was just dreadful. Not ideologically or anything, just really bad TV. We couldn’t believe it was a L & O show at all.

I also won’t watch CSI New York, even though of course I like Gary Sinise so much. They had one episode of that that was so disturbing I’m bothered by it to this day. I never liked it because I never thought it had a real NYC feel to it, but after that one episode, forgetaboutit!

Thanks for letting me dump on all the TV shows I dislike!

Happy New Year and happy viewing in 2011!

"Law and Order" = anti-American propaganda. Has been for years.

Wet dreams for the left wing fascists.

Dick Wolf is a has been a left wing douchebag. He thinks that NYPD is the most liberal Police dept in the country.
I have known a few NYPD members and they were far from left wing. Most were USMC and it would break their arm to vote for a liberal.
