Anyone using Realbasic Web Edition? (vanity)

I recently received news about a new version of Realbasic that generates fastcgi applications for websites.

Is anyone here using it and, if so, what has been your experience with it? Since I've done quite a bit of Realbasic coding over the years, I'm considering giving their new Web Edition a try.

Haven’t used it, but looks much more cumbersome than the Merb framework.

You should check out merb with heroku. You get a full solution for free that includes migrations with production and test capabilities.

There is even a way to make changes to your application design on the fly in test mode while it is actually running.

It looks like merb is being superseded by Rails 3. From wikipedia:
Most of the key features and purported benefits of Merb have been integrated into Ruby on Rails during the course of development of Rails3. There will be no version 2 of Merb, with Rails 3 serving as the successor to both Rails 2 and Merb.
Wikipedia link

If merb is truly at a "dead end", I think I may be better off looking into Rails 3. More to look into. :=)

Actually, what happened was Merb was better than Rails and the new Rails is actually Merb2.

Merb is still supported.

Merb and Rails were very simular.

First came Rails, then Merb, then Merb2 became Rails 2, end of Merb.

If you are interested, there are low cost classes on how to develop with Rails2 http://rubylearning.com/

They are very affordable, that is where I took my classes.

I think I spent a total of $90 dollars.

Classes are online.

Take Ruby, GIT, Heroku, Rails2 — that will get you going real good
