Your statement is only PARTIALLY accurate.
Seed that contains 'the terminator' gene does not produce more seed. But there are other types of genetically modified seed. For instance, there is seed that is resistant to glyfosate (genetic name for Round-up) and there is Bt corn, which is resistant to certain types of corn bore. Both the Roundup resistant and the Bt varieties can be reproduced from their own seed, altho in some situations, farmers are asked to sign an agreement NOT to plant bin run grain, using it as seed, the following year.
There are plenty of NON GMO hybreds, and farmers have a choice as to what they plant. If they don't want to sign the agreement NOT to use the grain they harvest as seed for the following year's crop,, they can just plant another variety.
That's not entirely true. If you plant a non Monsanto crop and some of your crop gets contaminated w/ pollen from your neighbors GMO crop and you try to save or resell your seeds, Monsanto will come down on you like a ton of bricks and sue you for "copyright infringement" and take you to the cleaners.
Conservatives should not be the cheerleaders for Monsanto!
