"The Big Broadcast is a Sunday night tradition for families throughout the WAMU listening area. Each week, Big Broadcast host Ed Walker offers listeners priceless recordings of popular radio programs from the '30s, '40s and '50s. Priceless, especially, for a man whose first sentence as a child was, 'Turn the radio on.' "

Thank you very very much!

Thanks vision. Around midnight last night I listened to old time radio on KMOX from St Louis. CBS Workshop from 1957 that took an ordinary fear we have all had while driving a vehicle—and had me jumping of fright out of bed.
“Grief in the black sedan” circa 1957 great audio/special work

Old Time Radio Emergency:
Most of us love the JD series which has only a few episodes left in the current schedule. Ed Walker just asked for emails on whether he should repeat the series or run another in its place. If you agree with me, please email him below and tell him to rerun the Johnny Dollar series. Boy I would hate to lose a weekly JD.

But you can ask for something to replace gunsmoke.
These decisions can last 5 or 10 years.

OK Boss. E-mail for Johnny D.
How about Nero Wolfe in place of Gunsmoke? Have Gun, Will Travel is pretty good.
On the comedy side - Henry Aldrich always makes me smile.

Radio is still where it's at...
TV is state run and totally controlled by the Feds...
AM radio and also HF frequencies rule the airwaves...
Entertainment garbage, FM and other computer/cell phone based communications, are for those who are easily amused, easily distracted, and others who spend their days drooling in cups.
