No desserts, don’t you know? Eating cake will mean “reeducation” camp if you are not careful...but notice that Dear Leader and Mrs. Dear Leader are having “pie!”
That’s what we’re having too ... steak from a cow I raised and butchered, roasted potato wedges with garlic/rosemary seasoning, shrimp and ravioli in a lemon butter sauce, and broccoli (because it’s the only veggie the kiddies like). I’m also making chicken cordon bleu.
For earlier in the day - brunch - we’re having Scotch eggs and just-picked baked grapefruit with a cherry in the middle.
And I just found out some neighbors will be joining us for dinner so I pulled out more steak, stuffed cabbage and stuffed peppers that I made a while back and froze. It’s better to have more food than not enough.
