You mean like the 1931 version of THE MALTESE FALCON (Ricardo Cortez)as compared with the remake, the 1941 version(Humphry Bogart)?
Or how about the 1946 version of THE KILLERS (Burt Lancaster) as compared with the 1964 remake (Ronald Reagan).
Actually the 1941 Maltese Falcon was the 2nd remake.
In 1937, they did another version called Satan Met A Lady with Warren William and Bette Davis. 3rd time was the charm with Maltese Falcon.
We'll have to agree to disagree then, because it's my premise that the sequels and remakes that are better than the originals are rare, RarE, RARE creatures.
They may exist, but they're 1/100.
