Well, it is the driving that makes her such a danger to others. As I understand it, she was convicted of driving under the influence.

Leave it up to her. I say, revoke her license until she can provide strong evidence that she isn't using drugs or alcohol anymore. If she continues to drive anyway, then I guess the best thing to do is to throw her into the snake pit for a year or so. Doesn't that sound better than trying to talk her out of poisoning herself? Doesn't that sound better than amputating her hands? ;-)

I agree with you. I was just thinking of a certain population here for which revoking their license is meaningless...they just keep driving. Nothing stops them and there is no jail time for driving repeatedly with out a license.
