Just curious. Who did you publicly back? Brown or Coakley in the election?
Brown was a Mitt Romney pick. He was better than Martha Coakley, but next time we need to get involved sooner, in the primary.
As for Mike Castle, we really are better off without him. Indeed, we need to support Republicans in Delaware if enough of them can get together and broom out the corrupt losers who run the party there. This has to be done from the bottom up.

I backed Brown and I’m living to regret it. I was there at the MA GOP State Committee meeting the they trotted out Andy Card to be the candidate to run for the open seat. Standing right behind him was Brown. Card made this speech about how he had to check with his wife to see if it would be OK to run. But, if he couldn’t run (as he turns and brings up Brown) he wanted everybody to support Brown.
In hindsight, this was theater, the plan was for Brown to run all along.
Yeah, I got caught up in it. Anybody was going to be better that Coakley and here was a chance to stick it to the Dem’s.
As it turns out we (and I include myself) projected conservative results from this guy. I did the same thing that Obama’s base did to him. Quite frankly, I refused to see the forest from the trees. Brown has an R after his name, a true rarity in MA. Because of this One degree to the right in MA qualifies as “conservative.” I fell for it. A lot of us fell for it.
But I’ve been calling that SOB’s office every day and telling the answering machine in no uncertain terms that my financial and political support is done.
I don’t know how much good it will do, but I’ve done it.
AND if the MA GOP doesn’t change its leadership; I’m done.
If I wanted to vote for a liberal democrat all I have to do is look at 99% of any ballot at any election for any office. I want a choice; a real choice and with the MA GOP I’m not getting it.
