Wahoo is not on there (later remarketed as Aggravation). Our families have spent many thousands of hours playing this game over the past 6 decades (with considerably evolved rules of play including backing up to knock off opponents). By the time I was growing up, everyone had made their own boards out of masonite and had jars of many different marbles and a lot of different dice. My brother has my grandfather’s ivory die. Recently I found that this was also a big game in West Africa and Iraq.

My favorite was an erector set with a motor. I also loved the electronics lab that I got for Christmas when I was 10.

I got one of my all time favorite gifts last year.

They should have two lists - one for toys and one for games.

How can you compare a yo-yo, which is a toy, to Risk, which is a game?

He's got some great ones on this list, but a few of my old school childhood favorites are missing: pop guns, cap guns, stick horses and pogo sticks.

Chemistry sets used to be great, but not anymore. They’ve been heavily dumbed-down with all the government regs and fear of lawsuits. The fun chlorates, perchlorates and nitrates are pretty much gone. You used to even get a lump of mildly radioactive stuff and a geiger counter.
