Interesting how Mr. Fisher is always referred to as John Fisher but Ms. Dick is always referred to as Dick. Sounds like the author is either 14 and enjoys writing her last name or thinks she is responsible for the tragedy.
Texas used to have the best roads in the country but now days they’re just as bad as other states’ which are also falling into a sad state of repair. It’s common these days to just pour in that tar mixture for a quick repair knowing full well it’s not going to last for any time. Why the crews can’t fix pot holes correctly the first time is just government waste.
Here in north Texas, our shifting soil creates many problems, not the least of which is cracked roads/streets. Your homes foundation will crumble if not cared for, and driving the streets is like riding a bucking horse.
