I believe the Anglo Saxons had a punishment where they threw a man into a pit of hungry wolves. This punishment may be appropriate.

If that is the appropriate punishment for torturing an animal, what would be the approriate punishment for killing another human?

So we punish animal torturers by throwing them in a pit, but leave those who kill humans alone, waiting until some appropriate form of punishment for that act is invented?

I like my way better.
