Still have Turnips and Winter Onions in the garden, also Brussel Sprouts. Though we have had zero temps. I’m waiting for the thaw so as to gather these garden items. I discovered these Winter items by accident. One year I had left these food items in the garden due to not having the time to clean them from the ground, and behold there they were in great shape. So, every fall I leave a large quantity of these veg’s in the ground for the Winter.

What? You have winter in TN? I’d believe a couple of days a month, for a couple of months, maybe. Is spring, March or April?

OK, I’ll concede, it is all relative.

Fresh Brussels sprouts are the best! I like ‘em sauteed lightly in butter/soy sauce with diced shallots. Deeeeelicious!
