Why do you say she wouldnt win the general? What is your hypothesis behing this?
Her negatives are very low. She's been thrust upon the Party by the MSM because she cannot win. Yes those who love her are passionate about her but in reality they are few in numbers. Most of my middle of the road politically oriented friends have very negative things to say about her. Fair? Probably not. I actually like the woman. But I learned a long time ago that my opinions don't matter much.
Remember a little over a month ago, there were many of this site who were saying that Christine O'Donnell would win Delaware in spite of what the polls were saying. They keep saying that if just people wanting it bad enough, somehow, someway she would win. Well she lost and the candidate she beat in the primary probably would have won. I knew she would lose and even wagered so giving 10 to 1 odds. I stood to lose a lot of money had she won. I was confident the voters in Delaware would vote as the polls had indicated. This is the fate for Sarah Palin. If she runs, we will get 4 more years of Obama. Remember a passionate and enthusiastic vote counts the same as a lethargic vote.

She's been thrust upon the Party by the MSM because she cannot win. That is total nonsense, Palin was already emerging as a conservative star and likely veep candidate before McCain chose her.
When she became the veep candidate the conservative movement instantly fell in love with her, and she instantly started leading, she even started pushing McCain during the campaign, and she came out fighting after the election, being credited with her first victory in December of 2008.
Her gains in 2010 were history making.
