We call ‘em milkhouse heaters. They’re totally crude, just a coiled wire in front of a small fan. Hot (warm)air comes out (not much), and anybody who leaves one of these things unattended is asking for a fire. If you run them from a cheap extension cord, the cord can melt and start a fire, too. They make plastic ones that actually smell like burning plastic while they run. That can’t be good.
