Michael Vick(notes) wants another dog. He told this to NBC News in an interview set to air Wednesday:
"I would love to get another dog in the future. I think it would be a big step for me in the rehabilitation process.
"I think just to have a pet in my household and to show people that I genuinely care, and my love and my passion for animals; I think it would be outstanding. If I ever have the opportunity again I will never take it for granted. I miss having a dog right now. I wish I could. My daughters miss having one, and that's the hardest thing: telling them that we can't have one because of my actions."
Too soon, Michael. Too soon.

I say let him have a dog. He’s already done the time for his crime. Does anybody think he’d be so stupid as to abuse a dog again? Actually having a dog as a pet will likely make him regret his previous actions all the more.
Google “Korean Butcher Shop”, Mike.
No, the hardest thing is that they will figure out that you are a sadistic creep.
Give him a few of his former objects of abuse. Lock them in a room.
At the end of the day, it was only friggen dogs. While Ray Lewis merely kills a person and there is no outrage about that.
People’s sensibilities are seriously screwed up. Arf!
The government banned him from having a dog? WTF?
Who did Lewis kill? Heard this lie repeated.
He had a lot of dogs already, what difference would one more make? How many dogs....dead, live, and maimed did they recover from his place. That's how many chances he had to love even one dog. He failed. One more dog will not change that.
Your kidding right young’n?
Kind of a “facepalm” moment if you ask me.
I agree. He screwed up bad. But he did his time, and is outwardly trying hard to make amends. If he gets a dog, that’ll probably be the best treated animal you’ve ever seen. But some ninnies will insist on 50 years of punishment.
The key is if he has really repented. If he has, it’s stupid and useless to insist he keep being punished. Treated fairly, he could be a good advocate to help stop that culture he was involved in.
About Vick? maybe, I’m not a sadist. About Lewis? No. Murder is a huge accusation. He was acquitted. I’ve been in the wrong place at the wrong time personally.

yup.
“One more dog will not change that”
It very likely could. People every day deeply regret their terrible behavior at work, in marriages, in friendships, in war, etc. Many many of those people take wonderful advantage of another chance at something they’ve failed at.
I always find it odd when someone stubbornly refuses to accept someones clear attempt at righting a serious wrong in their life.
