Satan was a created being spoken into existance by God (Jesus). God/Jesus defeated Satan on the cross when he took our punishment to give us salvation.
Satan hates, and fears, Jesus.
Satan fears Jesus, because he knows Jesus has the victory. Christ is Risen.

Perhaps the definition of fear is important in this case.
Satan knows IIRC, what his boundaries are and that he can operate more or less with impunity within those boundaries for the period he’s allotted.
He’s wrathful at getting kicked out of heaven and not at all looking forward to being bound for a thousand years and then forever.
I suspect the latter strikes more than a little fear into his consciousness and fosters great amounts of his hostility toward God’s favorite creation—man.
