There's really nothing too bad down here in the south Louisiana marsh, swamp and woods except maybe gators, snakes and the occasional 2 legged nere'-do-well, but being well armed gives one confidence if things unexpectedly hit the fan.
What I can't understand is the enviro nuts, greenies and city folk who go out in bear and cougar country with nothing more then their little backpacks and cameras while skipping along in their flip flops or jogging shoes.
See that all the time around here. See joggers running out in the sticks in the early morning hours too, where I have found mountain lion tracks.
