A Birmingham lawyer -- and lifelong Auburn football fan -- asked a judge this week to hold off scheduling a trial so he and his family can go to the team's Jan. 10 national championship game, fearing he might not ever get another chance.
Birmingham lawyer Michael Mulvaney submitted as evidence for his request for a trial delay photos of his daughters. The photo at left shows the girls, from left, Ellie, Grace and Sellers in Auburn jerseys. A second photo, not shown, indicates the girls today are a young teens. U.S. District Judge Kristi K. DuBose, in granting his request, included the photos as evidence of her "unique understanding" of Mulvaney's ... predicament."

“Since the last National Championship Game for Auburn was 1957 (and I was born in 1965) it is fair to say that this is a once in a life-time opportunity,” Mulvaney wrote. “Without Cam Newton (or Nick Saban as our coach) it is hard to imagine this ever happening again.”
Scam Newton and his father are the ones that should be in court.
Um, Saban coaches Alabama.
Can we scrap the lower federal judiciary along with the NCAA?
Auburn is worthless.
Why is that?
“When asked about the reference to Nick Saban as the Auburn coach, Mulvaney said he was “hedging my bets in case the judge was an Alabama fan.”
“But to set the record straight, I don’t want Nick Saban for my coach,” Mulvaney said. “I love Gene Chizik — he is my coach.”
Typical lawyer weasel words, if I’m the judge I’m making him show up just for that.
The same reasons that the FBI is investigating them. The only people on the face of this planet that believe that Cam and Cecil are not liars and crooks are the ones from Auburn.
The sordid Cam Newtom affair aside, I don’t have a probelm with this. All the attorney could do was ask and live with the consequences. He got lucky.
If I were a AU fan I would have resigned from the case or had a partner stand in. I just don’t see it as that big of a deal.
