I am a puzzled by your reply. I happen to know Scooter, and I can’t imagine anyone describing him as an “elderly Jewish guy.” He certainly isn’t elderly, and I don’t even know that he is Jewish. One can accuse Fitzgerald of many bad things in the course of his “investigation,” but I don’t think anti-semitism is one of them.
Fitzgerald wanted to balance his dealings against a Jewish lady by destroying someone he thought of as elderly Jewish man.
All makes sense in the world of the anti-semites from Chicago, and Fitzgerald is one of 'em.
