I'll probably get called a crack-pot (again) but here goes ...
I have a bad feeling about things, a really bad feeling in fact. We have the democrats who were soundly defeated trying to pass through their agenda in the lame duck session with the dream act, trying to let the tax cuts expire, and so on. All things designed to further harm the country.
On the security side of things Iran is stock piling rockets in Venezuela that can reach the United States. Our border is being breached by terrorists on a regular basis and illegals are pouring in the country uncontrollably, and our southern border has more in common with Somalia than any place else.
Wikileaks has been releasing confidential information and our President has done nothing; acting as if it doesn't really matter. And now, companies that tried to stop Wikileaks such as Amazon are under massive DOS attacks as anarchists everywhere are gathering to bring the entire web to it's knees, and they can probably do it.
The United States is doing everything wrong, no border, no energy, no security, no economy, and from what I'm seeing has very little will to survive, maybe even a death wish.
I'm at a total loss to explain what I see happening. I only see things spiraling further out of control. As the Republicans take the helm and try to change things I see civil unrest, angst, and possibly civil war coming to Americans, not from Americans mind you.
Does anybody else see us as one straw away from breaking the camel's back?
We’ll see once the new congress is seated.
Pretty much...not making any long-term plans...
The problem is the new congress can only stop them from speeding up. They can't slam on the brakes or change the course of our unsustainable system.
Yes....but God is VERY ready to help us:
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14
Barnes & Noble at Desert Ridge in Phoenix! We stood in line for wristbands yesterday and lined up early this morning. Two signed books per person along with the handshake and mutual “thank you’s”. I am still smiling!
Stopping them from speeding up is a start. Its going to take a few good election cycles to get us back on track.
Personally I think we should make state legislatures a priority.
What are you, some kinda crackpot?
It's roughly the government one might expect out of academic buffoons and media celebrities - shallow, ignorant, self-important, ineffectual, and contemptible. The country has survived it before and will survive this one, but we need to get it out of office before we can start cleaning up the mess. Last November was a great start.
We are skating on thin ice - that’s for sure.
Oh and don’t forget, the three large, strange objects approaching Earth from deep space!
I don’t think what you describe is a “feeling”, it is exactly what is happening.
Sorry! I simply couldn't resist (^3
Its a horrifying thought, but I think we aren't. This nation condones and funds the murder of millions of unborn worldwide, actively promotes perversion of all kinds....
CRACKPOT!
(You’re in good company).
I don’t think you’re a crackpot.
Fact is...I fully expect that one morning I’m going to turn on my computer and find the Internet under government control, with every site that has any kind of conservative or overtly Christian bent totally shut down.
And I’ll probably be in jail or dead within 24 of that.
The thing is NOT to be depressed. We have a chance now. Get out there and work to save this country. Write to your local pols of all stripes; you never know when one letter is just one too many for them to ignore. Get yourself to local meetings. Sound off to others. Support our cause, or just sit at your computer and talk about being depressed. It’s up to you.
And, PRAY for help in the work you do for our country.
~ A nation or civilization that continues to produce soft-minded men purchases its own spiritual death on an installment plan. ~ Martin Luther King, Jr
And the bill is just about due.
