Oh yeah no kidding. Get's hauled off by a bear by the head, drags herself back to camp, sews her own head together, goes and kills the bear, and then has to wait 9 days until the next pilot comes by and finds her. Tough as nails alright.
I know I couldn’t believe it either, can’t even imagine. I freaked out when a weasel got one of my chickens, can’t imagine facing a bear. And I don’t think I could sew anything of myself back together, I’d probably keep passing out...lol. She’s lucky to be alive. Reminds me of our tough pioneer women.
