The scope was mis-aligned. She hit it dead on with a new gun.
They tested the mis-aligned gun at base camp to verify this.
I’d bet Sarah’s rifle sight was knocked off when her dad tripped and went down. Happens but most hunters realize this can happen and resight to check. A varmint cartridge seems a bit light for carabou anyway. I didn’t catch what the friends rifle was but I’d bet it was at least a 7mm from the looks. This was a very good outdoor/hunting film. I’m impressed with her dad’s energy at his age.
I was betting that gun was off...and was glad to see it proven. Well, obviously they could have edited the video, but it’s a better story thig way. Stuff happens, you have to adapt, respond. Not that I’m trying to make a point or anything ;-)
