I was in Catholic grade school in the mid 70’s. I can remember because Sister Paula did NOT find the song amusing and scolded the entire sixth grade. We then sung it very quietly during outside recess. Just a thought.
It was the late 60's for me -what do you think Sister Paula would have thought of "Hark the hair lipped Angels sing....? one I heard several years later!
