Not in the least. Stop changing the subject and answer the question. Do you condone letting criminals off the hook if they're "mentally ill?" Yes or no.
Good heavens. Look up the definition of "condone" and "criminal" before you ask a yes or no question to such a broadly defined statement. I know this will be difficult, but then try to remember all Americans are innocent until proven guilty.
Then try to appreciate this guy is taking instruction from a soda machine. Since this type of communication is so unusual, perhaps we would like to explore this phenomenon in some manner, if only for the sake of science and not the rights of the accused.
It isn't broadly defined. It is a very simple question "Do you think that "mentally ill" excuses criminal behavior? Since you already answered in the affirmative, then the next logical conclustion is if criminal behavior is excused by mental illness thne "mentally ill" persons should no be punished for their behavior.
Since you refuse to answer my simple question, I'll take that as your ego preventing you from being honest.
Just so you know my point of view I don't care if some guy is taking instructions from a demon that possesses his dog. If he commits criminal acts then he should be punished for the act regardless of motive. Or to phrase it another way people should face the consequences of their actions regardless of their mental ability (or lack thereof). Oh and until you decide to stop playing games and discuss the issue honestly, don't bother replying. I've wasted enough time on your drivel already.
I have sincerely attempted to improve your understanding of my rationale but you continue to display acute contempt prior to investigation, which strongly implies I'm dealing with a very narrow-minded person.

Oh, by the way. David Berkowitz never evaded justice. His conviction is 6 life sentences, totaling 365 years. You can read all about it at Wikipedia, a source you should find acceptable.
