Drew Brees says he might make a "difference" in politics
Wednesday, December 1, 2010
Would Drew Brees consider a post-football career in politics?
The Super Bowl XLIV "MVP" and Sports Illustrated "Sportsman of the Year" for 2010 admits it is something he has thought about.
"There are a lot of things I think about. I want to do this or that. I feel I could make a difference doing this or that. That's one of the things I feel I could make a difference. We'll see. It's a long way away."
Brees made the comment Wednesday at a meeting with reporters at Saints headquarters.
When asked whether he envisions having a political career when his playing days are over, Brees said "maybe."
"I'm not closing any doors. but I'm hoping I can play football for quite a while longer and then we'll take a look at potential opportunities."
As long as he is not a democRAT, he would do okay...
I can’t see anyone coming from “Nawlens” as nothing but a ‘Rat.
His mother was a DemocRAT.
I would imagine he would move back to Texas.
OOPs, sorry you are correct no conservatives come out of that sinkhole. No matter what they claim mudville ‘narlins is democRAT cesspool!
Steve Young used to say the same thing.
I imagine Peyton Manning has given it a thought or two as well.
Note to self:
never comment on offspring of wacky gay Austin dwellers..
Too weird for words.
Your both ignorant. There are a lot of conservatives that come out of “Nawlens.” They just only go back to visit.
Tom Brady used to talk about it,
Born and raised- and still live in Jefferson Parish- and a registered Republican to the RIGHT of Rush Limbaugh! I was the first of my family to register Republican , during the Vietnam war, and my first vote was for Richard Nixon. So there goes your generalization.
We’re here- don’t know about Brees, don’t care- we’re outnumbered, but we’re here.
damn, this response must be like a MONTH old!
That’s okay, always glad to hear of conservative Cajuns!
Where are those mud bugs?
