There is no war against “holidays” or “holy days.” There is a war against Christmas. In the moronic quest to be politically correct, retailers try to AVOID using the word Christmas, in the same vein as Hollywood using their films as anti-Christian propaganda. And mind you, I am offended against the anti-Christmas trend, and I am not Christian! :)

Well I am and I say, let them have what's left of Christmas and let the Christians go back to celebrating the birth of the Savior. We'll call it something different and unique, like "Jesus' Birthday"

So for all these decades, we have complained about Christmas becoming commercialized. Christmas trees in the stores earlier and earlier. Christmas in July sales. Everybody selling Christmas related trinkets and happy meals all over the place.. nothing but 'commercial' Christmas..

..yet, when ‘commercial’ industry says “OK” you don't want Christmas so commercialized and changes it to Holiday, we demand our commercialized Christmas back?

Yep, nothing screams CHRISTmas like a mom bringing her kids to Wal Mart at 4AM, shoving her way in line to be the first for whatever Elmo is the item that year, then getting in someone’s face for saying Happy Holiday instead of Merry Christmas.

Maybe we should be cleaning our own houses, putting the Christmas back in Christ and the Holy back in Holiday instead of worrying what all these commercial ventures are doing.
