“Pretty is as pretty does” was my grandmother’s remembered message!!
My grandmother was big on thank yous but stern about encouraging vanity. She told me on senior prom night “If you act as good as you look..you’ll be OK”..That was my only remembered comment from her about how I looked!
I think my daddy said ‘your face will freeze that way’, if I remember correctly. I have many funny sayings from my grandmother.
