Bristol Palin Eyeing Big Money Deals Post-'Dancing'
By Rob Shuter
Nov 29th 2010 03:03PM
Bristol Palin didn't technically win 'Dancing With the Stars' last week, but financially, the 20-year-old mom is paso doble-ing all the way to the bank.
"Bristol made over $345,000 from being on the show and currently is getting $35,000 for each speaking gig she does," an insider reveals to me. "Yet, all that is going to feel like pocket change if one or two of the big deals she's currently working on actually happens."
Palin family friends tell me there is a major deal in the works for Bristol to be the spokesperson for a middle American fashion brand, as well as a book deal and a multi-million offer to appear on another reality show.

Old deck Hand....haven’t you ever learned to never ASUME anything...know facts before you publish.
I can honestly say that you are delusional.
With the Vice Presidential family the Kardashians.
Cabinet meetings with Kate Plus Eight.
Maybe Pimp That Ride will do the Presidential limo.
you sir are a vile human being...
You’re over the top, earlJam. What are you smoking?
Hey troll, I’ve got questions for you. The second one is a fill in the blank:
1. How many hours per week do spend attacking Sarah Palin on The Free Repulic?
2. _______ would be a better candidate than Sarah Palin because ________.
“That’s so true! I’m happy for her. I think what the audience liked best is her demeanor as compared to the other contestants. She looked like your typical young all-American girl nothing trashy or indecent. She has an innocence and humility in the way she talks, the way she dresses, and even the way she dances. I think people liked that. I know I did.
“I wish her the best of luck and I hope she makes lots of money in the near future. It will give her the economic independence that will help her support herself and her child, and it will free her from opportunistic-good-for-nothing-leeches like Levi and his ilk.
“Winning the trophy would’ve been nice, but on the other hand, what really counts is building a fan base and using the show as a launchpad for other endeavors.”
This post is a great example that many ‘Bristol’ supporters and some ‘Palin’ supporters are not actually advocates for conservativism but are advocates of ‘grrrrl power’.
How can we praise Bristol for using her ‘fame’ for money yet condemn Levi for using his ‘fame’ for money?
Why talk about Bristol’s baby as if it is only hers? Is it not Levi’s baby also? And doesn’t Levi doing well economically is also good for the baby?
Yet, the poster above only writes nasty about Levi. It is acted as if it was Levi’s fault Bristol got pregnant. As if Bristol wasn’t a participant!
And of course, Bristol is getting child support from Levi. Conservatism is against child support especially when the mother is wealthy and can take care of the child on her own.
Yet, you hear NOT ONE WOMAN at FreeRepublic point this out. And when I mention it, there are only *crickets*.
It is clear that many women here on Free Republic are not interested so much in conservatism but are interested in ‘grrrl power’.
People are quick to say ‘misogyny’ is the cause of why people dislike Palin. But with examples of the above, it shows that ‘misandry’ is a bigger reason for her support.
Our son went to the same university at the same time as Chelsea. They were all read the riot act where Chelsea was concerned ~ threatened with expulsion if ANY info was ever leaked about her. She was guarded like royalty and NEVER had to endure backlash from the media.
Bump!
What are we supposed to praise Levi for? Feeding rumors to the MSM about Sarah and posing for Playgirl? What a swell guy. All hail Levi!
Quite telling that the poster is incapable of seeing the stark difference in the two. Perhaps says something about the moral rot/relativism America’s youth are now raised in, or something along those lines ...
Probable good for Bristol (money wise), but not good for Sarah Palin in the long run if she is running for office. Sorry you can’t mix with these swine and come out smelling like a rose.
Ok, so are you saying that supporting Gov. Palin for POTUS (which I do) necessarily involves supporting Bristol’s actions? There are a lot of haters and trolls on this thread saying vile things (and I am going to ignore them because its pointless) but your statements constitute a straw man. You see one can disapprove of Bristol’s actions at the time supporting Gov. Palin.
I personally couldn’t care less what she does, if she wants to make money anyway she wants, thats her call. But I do worry about the potential damage she might cause depending on her future behavior.
However, the haters on this thread comparing her to Kardashians, are being very disingenuous.
Name one thing she's accomplished - one commercial, one reality show, one speaking engagement, one dollar - that she's earned that was not connected to her being a Palin?
And look at all they gave up by living normal lives? No reality shows. No shilling for abstinence groups. No cover stories on US magazine announcing their engagement. No embarrassing boyfriends. No excitement at all. Obviously their parents didn't raise them right. </sarcasm>
Fame whore? Listen to yourself. It’s a shame you have to use terms like “knocked up” and “fame Whore” in your argument because it shows you are just here to disparage Bristol Palin. Why you want to pick on a 20 year old is beyond me.
Good for Bristol. Everyone should think of ‘HOW TO EARN A LIVING’ these days.
Good for America. Surely Bristol will pay taxes to pay for military expenditure and thus, for the security of the country.
Good for Conservatism. Teeners should learn how to EARN and not HOW TO ACT LIKE BEGGARS WAITING FOR ALMS FROM THE ELITE AND CORRUPT GOVERNMENT.
And it’s TOTALLY SHAMELESS, IDIOTIC AND HYPOCRITICAL OF THE LIBERAL LEFT AND ITS APOLOGISTS to demonize a HARD-WORKING TEEN LIKE BRISTOL.
Go Bristol!
PS: The writer of the original article has no credibility, whatsoever. He’s just a gossip maker.
As far a Palin, I think Frank Zappa said it best.....
I have no problem with them making money and doing reality shows. But just don’t then ask for my vote for president.
