Dan Dubrowski --
Picture this. You're settling in at the table on Thursday and in between shouts of "please pass the mashed potatoes," one of your relatives starts repeating one of Sarah Palin's lies, or some ludicrous accusation about President Obama that he heard at a tea party rally or on Rush Limbaugh's radio show.
To make sure that you're ready to talk politics with all of your obnoxious Republican relatives this Thanksgiving, we're proud to bring you a special pre-Turkey Day edition of @Stake.
Return of the DCCC's Thanksgiving Cheat Sheet
Download the Thanksgiving Cheat Sheet You just know it's bound to happen, especially after an election season as heated as this one was. That Republican relative we all have is going to show up at Thanksgiving and start parroting lies about Democrats that he heard on Fox News or from one of those shadow group attack ads he saw on TV during the campaign.
That's why we're proud to bring back the DCCC's Thanksgiving Cheat Sheet. The Cheat Sheet will arm you with the real facts so you can answer back with the truth as soon as your Republican relatives start sounding like Sarah Palin.
Download the DCCC's 2010 Thanksgiving Cheat Sheet to make sure you're ready to do political battle with any Republicans who show up at your Turkey Day feast.
Voice Your Outrage against Republican Health Care Hypocrisy
And speaking of outrageous things Republicans say, thanks to you we are holding all of those Republican hypocrites accountable for wanting to accept taxpayer-funded health care even as they promise to repeal health insurance reform for hardworking Americans.
Already, more than 30,000 of you have signed our petition, calling for House Republicans to forgo taxpayer-funded health care benefits before trying to repeal health care reform.
If you haven't done so already, sign our petition to help us expose all of the Republican Health Care Hypocrites. If you already signed, get your friends and family to sign it today.
Recount Update
And, the race continues in New York's 1st District. The good news is thanks to your ongoing support of our members still locked in these too-close-to-call races, Rep. Tim Bishop is now up by over 200 votes. Republicans are making a last ditch effort to challenge Democratic ballots in an attempt to steal this race in the closing days, but with your support we will be able to keep up the fight.
Thank you for standing with him and if you can give again, your support is still greatly needed in this nail-biter in New York. Contribute today to help keep up the fight >>
From all of us at the DCCC, have a happy and healthy Thanksgiving. Thanks again for all that you do.
Jon Vogel DCCC Executive Director
Golly, I didn't know that the Democrats need cheat sheets and talking points when dealing with their relatives, as well as with the press, foreign leaders, and barristas.
Hope the link works, here's another path to the Thanksgiving Cheat Sheet:

Republicans opposed most of the Pelosi Congress utter unconstitutional ‘laws’....good men and women elected to serve you did and do no want their names tied to such awful government. Read the list and see where your freedoms were eliminated.
Yeah, the Cheat Sheet tells a different story than what they intended.
Republicans opposed all the intrusions and illegal seizures, to the point the Democrats have to crow about the “victories” they gained.
Progress! Progressives! Hey, progress toward exactly WHAT?
LLS
DCCC = CCCP.

Here’s another “fact” they can keep handy while sucking down chai and munching on tofurkey leftovers:
“We can see 2012 from our house!”
Lies are truth, up is down, backward is forward.
The media calls Palin’s facts “lies” and Obama’s lies are treated as gospel.
He keeps promising that his agenda is ‘on track’ but never once has spelled out what it is on track to. And the media has never asked him. )
We know what it is, it's socialism. (... and they want it too) They have to hide it with words like liberal and the new and improved ‘progressive’ labels. But they clearly want socialism. All his cabinet are known Marxist and socialist, half the democrat congress belongs to “the workers Party” (a communist organization)
The president goes on air deriding Republican for “outrageous tax cuts in these times of record deficits” when he is the one who created the record deficits.
He only talks about the horrors of the deficit, when anyone wants to cut taxes. But no worries about the deficit when they want to spend more.
The Bizarro Presidency. Superman would recognize the place.
None of those holiday political conversations ever really happen. They just show up on DU as Bouncy Ball stories.
“He keeps promising that his agenda is on track but never once has spelled out what it is on track to. “
This is true of all “progressives” who want to “move the country forward”.
And I think it’s more Stalinism or the old German totalitarianism they want. Socialism implies sharing, not intrusive monitoring and wealth confiscation.
I like the Bizarro reference- Orwellian Doublethink with a modern flavor.
lol They happen. Every year I go to a family party and invariably some lib has some challenge they practiced for all month, like “Oh, yeah? Bush cut taxes for the wealthy and that’s why unemployment is so high today!”
This year it was about Wikileaks and the First Amendment right for everybody to know everything. I offered to make the person’s name, SSN, address, cell number, and so forth public, and the result was an admission that there are some things that need to stay secret to keep crime down and prevent identity theft, so maybe FedGov has some limited interest in keeping some documents secret. Everyone was amused then we had dessert and the conversation drifted to photography and watercolors.
“Bush cut taxes for the wealthy and thats why unemployment is so high today!
That makes absolutely no sense. I won’t waste time with that bit of Libtard stupidity.
