VANITY-Best game for the Nintendo Wii
None ^ | 27 Nov. 2010 | JJ

Posted on 11/27/2010 8:26:09 PM PST by Jet Jaguar

Okay, the wife bought me a Wii for Christmas and like she always does, unwraps it before it is supposed to be unwrapped.

Anyway, I got a Wii with the games Super Mario Bros.Wii and Wii Sports.

In your opinion, what game is the best for the system?

What game would you buy again if a monster ate the one you own?

Wii Fit has some fun games as well - good value there.

Whatever you do, USE THE WRIST STRAPS. Seriously.

If you want a really awesome, long adventure game with lots of cool puzzles and action, “The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess” is a must. It’s older so it might not even be sold in stores at least not new. Another off the beaten path game that is quite impressive is “Okami” (wolf in Japanese). If you are into those types of games, you won’t be disappointed.

Thanks,

I bought it today.

I have not unwrapped it yet.

Is it worth keeping?

"""“well if you didn’t do the splits....”""""

Now that it funny, we can really get into playing it like it is real, I know I do.

Yet, my 12 year old DOWN grandson, can swing his arm anyway, barely swing it, sitting down, or on the other side of the room, and still get a STIKE. He beats us all in most of the sports, no problem for him. The sports are his favorite.

I told a couple of ladies at Church about the Wii, and the good exercise, well they both went out and got it. Next Sunday one of them came in holding her back, pains big time from playing it so much. lol

It has been our “most played” disk so far...look out for the opening sequence! Sky diving! You control your “Mii” skydiver. Nephews like wake boarding, jousting...adults like 100 pin bowling and kayaking.

All good choices here. MY friend has a Wii and another game that looks good i the Call of Duty series, I especially like the World War II version.

Some suggestions based on what go played to death here.

Punchout!
Excitetruck (older, but fun)
Wii Mario Kart
Rayman’s Raving Rabbids
Wii Sports Resort (be aware you need those motion control plus addons)
Mario Galaxy I & II
Super Paper Mario

Download games :

Excitebike World Championship (especially if you are a fan of the older Excitebike game from the 80s ... I think that was the name ... it is not the $5 NES game you can also get)
World of Goo
Tetris Party

“The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess”

I asked my daughter and this is her favorite, though she didn’t think older folks would go for it. LOL. She forgets where she learned to be a gamer geek.

I prefer the Call of Duty games, the online play is what makes it. A first person shooter with the zapper gun is they way it was meant to be played.

The Mario Galaxy games are very good.

Don’t forget all the down-loadable games on the Wii shop channel.

Also, if you’re into the Zelda games; I would recommend OKAMI. It’s a great unknown game and is cheap these days.

Ditto on the new Excitebike. Old school gaming goes online.

Bowling without a doubt!

That's really fun. My buddy and I do play Wii bowling. It just isn't the same at times when his mother was still around. She passed away from renal failure in early 2009, but when she was alive, she had one heck of a hook in that game. I came in second place, a distant second place, she really skunked all of us, him, my mother and myself. Dang, she was good.

Don’t know if your into MMO’s Nowhere Man, but the Lord of the Rings online is really good. It’s as good of quality as WoW, but it’s FREE. FREE to download, FREE to play.

The download is a test of patience though.
