another thing to think about is romney walking away with it.
Barbour and Palin split the conservative vote with the help of the huckster...scary thought. Romney mught even pick his running mate during the primaries! He has the org...solid campagin staff that did a good job last time.

note to the huckster cult: this is NOT an endoresement of Romney!

So, you we are supposed to lay down and just let them destroy good conservatives like Sarah Palin. Sir, that is not a way to victory, thats a defeatist coward attitude. We have to rise up and take them on. We can’t let them define who we are as people. It is time to fight back against the liberals and the media.

appeasing liberals will never work

can anyone picture the GOP Congress voting against the media portraying things as unfair?

I hope so. It would also be amusing to see the Senate have to pick the VP. Could you imagine Biden or HRC having to report to President Palin?

I agree with you on Jindal and the natural born issue.

Macho politics will get you only so far but to the finsh is far more questionable. A general going into battle may, no matter how hard, have to sacrifice some troops to save others and to win the battle as well as the war. View the primary election as the first battle and the general election as the war.

This war against Obama must be won at all costs. There will be casualties but they must taken if we are to save this nation and the principles on which it is founded. We may not be happy at the price we may have to pay, but at least we gain an additional day to recoup our losses. Another four years of Obama and we risk becoming the Venezuela of North America.

Well said. For instance, she has no chance of carrying PA. Toomey just squeaked out a win in a wave election. The independents simply won’t support her in the numbers needed to overcome the Dems’ registration advantage.

It is not Macho politics to fight for what you believe in. its just the right thing to do.

We have had Presidents who were underestimated, burried and laughed off.. but then made it to the white house

Abraham Lincoln was one of least likely men ever to be President. The media had Harry Truman wrote off as a hick and burried before the votes were even counted. Richard Nixon showed up at a debate looking like uncle fester. Ronald Reagan was just a B actor. Bill Clinton was boo’ed off the stage in the 1988 Democratic convention.

Have you seen Palin's negatives with independents & even Republicans?

If she is the nominee we will lose many safe states. A lot of people will stay home similar to 2008.

I would go with something like Ryan/Barbour. Write off candidates from the coast.

Try to solidify the Midwest and south. We cannot destroy the unions from ny, nj, cal. We need a strong Wisconsin, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana. That’s Ryan country. Barbour will take care of the south.

If everything stays as this past election cycle, between redistricting and midwest gains, bamboo and the rats are toast.

I'm a little tired of her supporters comparing her to Reagan. She was briefly governor of a state with a population smaller than Los Angeles before she resigned. Reagan served two full terms as governor of California. Reagan had a broad appeal to independent voters as well as Republicans. Poll numbers consistently show that Palin does not share this quality.

Also, comparing the 2010 midterms for Obama to the 1978 midterms for Carter is just silly. In 1978, the Democrats lost 5% of their seats but still held a clear 64% voting majority in Congress down from 67%. In 2010 the Democrats lost 25% of their seats and went from having a 59% voting majority to having a 44% minority vote.

In 2012 Obama has a GOP majority Congress to scapegoat if our economy hasn't recovered. Carter had nowhere to cast the blame.

thats bullshit

run a good campaign with a good strong message in a poor Obama economy, the independents will come along. we will drag them along

they don’t really know Sarah Palin and what she stands for yet. she has not had a chance to run her own campaign and make her own case. so spare me the liberal talking points.

and these polls are fluid and vary.

For the Dems, the 2012 political climate will be slightly improved as compared to 2010. This is due to the fact that the GOP made gains and will now partially “own” blame for any failings. In PA, Toomey barely won in the best possible climate. there is no chance she’ll get as many indies in a less favorable election climate.

the senate is still Democratic. the President gets the blame for any bad economy.

“they don’t really know Sarah Palin”

People have made up their mind one way or the other about her. She’s not going to convert those with an unfavorable opinion, and their are many independents that hold one.

Actually... the polls show her negatives are always in the high 60s.

BP's negative's after the oil spill are in the mid 50's.

Do the math.
