I’ll go with a McDonnell/Rubio ticket
Rubio in ‘12 would be pure ethnic pandering. Give him (and Jindal and West and all other such favorites) time.
Assuming we don't have a domestic terror event that ZERO uses to by Executive Order: Federalize all law enforcement, Suspend the Constitution, Disband Congress, and declare himself President for Life all in the name of National Security.
“It is early.”
We know.
Cut me some slack. I can’t sleep. nothing better to do than fool around with the electoral college map i guess
as VP under anglo saxon McDonnell?
don’t see how that would be ethnic pandering.. the guy will have been a US senator for 2 years and was a very effective Speaker of the House of Representatives in Florida
that type of ticket would unite all of the Republican party and most of the independents and probably would wipe Obama off the map in 2012
Isn’t he still in his 30’s without any executive experience?
Sarah Palin could do just as good as any Republican candidate by connecting with people and being an alternative. I think momentum is very important and she can sure generate it.
Palin is a disaster as a candidate and would get absolutely creamed in a general election.
Agreed. I do like West though. He put on the uniform and stood up for his men. I do not want to pander but I like him.
He ended his military career to protect his men.

no she won’t.. a big chunk of republicans won’t come out and vote for her.. let alone massive numbers of independents
Rubio would be running as VP under a very popular conservative governor(McDonnell is very presidential)and he’d be 41 years old..
McDonnell is my dark horse
I’m sure he read that already — he posted to the thread and everything.
But you know, pretty much all of us do little more than derivative work building on those who write before us. We read stuff, it gets in our heads, and later we use it in our own work.
She cannot win and will guarantee Obama another 4 years. Just as Angle could not win, just as O’Donnell could not win, just as Miller will not win.
At some point, we have to understand that even though we all love ultra conservatives, we should want to defeat lunatic liberals like Obama. Palin cannot beat him. I’m more than happy to take a slightly less conservative Republican that will win then a great conservative like Sarah (who I love) who not only can’t win, but guarantees further destruction by Obama.
For some reason, all too many people here don’t get this in their efforts to “cleanse” the GOP. At the end of the day, you can’t cleanse anything if liberals are running around in charge and in power.
I also think NH could return to the GOP in 2012.
Electorally, with a southern Presidential candidate, we wouldn’t need a VP from Florida to win the state. McDonnell though will still be in the middle of his term as Governor. It’s an unfortunate matter of timing, but he’d essentially have to quit his job after only 2 and a half years in order to run for President.
IMO, the MSM will do a double down on her. They will pull every trick in the book to destroy her and her family. They hate her so much that it makes me sick. I find it simply amazing that the left is so full of hate.
They will be her biggest hurdle.
Now about the E.College, tell Rove to keep his mouth shut.
Piss off !
