“She lived down by the racetrack, and all the horsemen knew her.” Say it fast...

We lived across the street from the local racetrack, and we would sit out on the roof of the bay window when the races were in town.

We also spent a lot of time at the track, petting the horses that were there, stabled for whatever reason. As a result, we learned to love and care for horses.

To this day, I love the smell of warm horseflesh. I love the velvet nose and the solid, sleek muscles of a thoroughbred, the tight, dense muscles of a quarter-horse, and the awesome warmth of riding bareback.

It’s been too long since I’ve been on a horse, and I know 30 minutes would stove me up for a week!!

Still, horses are awesome. Especially in snow. :o])

I like being around horses, too. It was fun when Anoreth was riding every week.

Ah. It took a while, but my fertilized brain finally got it. *\;^)
