TSA Procedures at Montgomery (AL), Memphis, and Louisville--information, please.
My own inquiry | November 27, 2010 | John Leland 1789

Posted on 11/25/2010 8:46:35 PM PST by John Leland 1789

Freepers, please.

I have a loved one with airline tickes for mid-December to the New Year, from Montgomery, via Memphis, to Louisville, and returning to Montgomery by the same route.

I am abroad, and this loved one has asked for my advice.

We are wondering if any Montgomery area, Memphis area, and Louisville area Freepers have any information on the current TSA security procedures at those three airports.

You may send me a private message or post openly.

And I sincerely thank you.

John

Pilot in Memphis is suing TSA over the scanners/molestation here.

Go to www.flyertalk.com

At their home page scroll down to travel safety/security.

They have a list of what kinds of scanners are at checkpoints in the airports.

Alternatively go to flyertalk and go to ‘miles and points’ to look for the airline you’re flying.

Lots of good information there.

In general: Memphis Commercial Appeal

I, too, am interested in more information as we are flying out of Memphis within a month.

About four years ago I was working at the Montgomery Airport. As I was coming back through the secure area, I personally witnessed two TSA agents jerking the belt off of an elderly man. Seeing as how he was wearing sunglasses and carrying a white cane, it was obvious to me the man was also blind. I doubt the intelligence level has increased to any great extent.

They never had intelligence to begin with.
