I do fault Palin for the direction her children are taking. She has chosen career over family and that is always a bad decision. She is cheering her daughter's lewdness on DWTS.
But you do have to credit the Palins because some moral decisions are being made. Bristol didn't get an abortion. She appears to be trying to go in the right direction, however ham-handedly. There is wisdom in her not being married as opposed to being married into the immoral family of the lout who knocked her up. Though I must confess I don't follow that soap closely enough to know if she shacked up with him.

It is an exercise in choosing the lesser of evils. Right now the media is exposing every last speck of dirt they can find on Palin and her family. There is not a person alive who doesn't have plenty to be exposed, and it appears the Palins have far less than most. If Obama had even a tiny fraction of the scrutiny Palin has we never would have heard of him.
I am more concerned with what the press is hiding than what they have chosen to reveal. In fact, I am rather confident that if you knew everything you would find that the press only tries to destroy the best people.

You can meet some nice baby boomers (many are devout christians now) here on Free Republic who really lived it up in the 60s. People grow up, people change.

Of course those things are condemned, but the person is not condemned. Bristol herself condemns those things and does not glorify them - in fact, she’s done exactly the opposite.
As far as Levi and his mother - are you saying Bristol is responsible for their behavior? Because if you are, you’re no conservative, but you’re certainly blinded by something.

Let me see: Did she KNOW the baby’s father would appear in sex magazines? Did she KNOW Levi’s mother dealt meth?

Yes she had sex before married - none of your children ever did I’m sure, right? Many, many kids do that now. And give her credit, when she got ‘caught’ as many do, she didn’t have an abortion as so many choose.
She’s a young girl that made mistakes and is paying for them. I’d rather she pay for them and move on as she had than continue to make the same mistakes. You sound awfully judgemental and I’d hate to imagine what you’d do if your child were to be pregnant through a mistake while unmarried.
