Best regards,
There have been intense discussions regarding the culpability of Jews who were assigned the duty of Kapo, the vile, inhumane acts perpetrated against fellow inmates as ordered by the Nazi camp administration by Kapos were considered absolved of criminality due to extenuating circumstances brought out by the War.
I remember the publicity that surrounded the arrest and subsequent appearances in court of the man accused of being a Kapo, quite surprisingly, the court ruled him not culpable of any crimes due to having suffered as inmate as well, his duties to carry out the orders of Nazi camp officials were implemented by him under the threat of death, as means to saving his own life.
