Books are a terrible way to judge a candidate. I suspect most are ghostwritten.

Have you read the book? Hard to judge if you haven't. I certainly would hate to base my judgements of Palin on her portrayal in the media. She had help with her book. I am guessing it is mostly in editing and organizing because the text is definitely Palin's words. The book is based on her journals she has kept since she was young. IF you remember, her book was assigned to 12 fact checkers who were bent on finding errors. Something that other authors, such as Obama, don't have to face.

That would be 12 AP fact checkers, and Obama will never face that amount of scrutiny.

The problem with directing people to her book is that the overwhelming majority of people who are either ambivalent or opposed to her aren't going to do that. Generally, I only read current politicians' political books/memoirs if I already like that individual, and I suspect I'm not alone in that.
