Sarah Palin
Mitt Romney
Bobby Jindal
Mike Huckabee
Tim Pawlenty
Mark Sanford
Charlie Crist
David Petraeus
Newt Gingrich
Jeb Bush
John McCain
Rudolph Giuliani
Ron Paul
Scratch David Petraeus off your list. He made it very clear that he would not run for president.
Tentatively:
Bobby Jindal
Sarah Palin
Petraeus I don’t know anything about.
Crist doesn’t belong on the list at all.
Giuliani is at the bottom.
Romney does not belong on the list because he is too much a chameleon to characterize by principles.
Gingrich is not a conservative and has social and personal big problems that won’t get him by a conservative electorate.
The rest are moderate-to-nice guy and would be, at best, GW Bush without the drive.
Christy should be in there but he would have to make some solid pronouncements and show some actions on social things. He is the one who could pull that off as Reagan did and be believable.
I forgot Ron Paul. I like him but for foreign policy and FP is awfully important. If we could do a real seismic shift to pure freemarket and totally stable money then we could get out of the rest of the world pretty much, but that economic transformation has to happen first. If The earthquake came and I thought he could do that, he would be my man.
