Their standards should be emulated but not their attitude towards illegals.
Don’t just look at the rating and take their word for it. Look at the reviews for yourself. For example, the use of calculators is included in the Alaskan math standards for grades 1-6. High school students are expected to use graphing calculators for simple functions such as quadratic equations. It’s really bad!

Who the hell knew WHY we were learning to solve quadratic equations before graphing calculators made the connection between algebra and geometry, explicit?
