I can't imagine a little stubby without ports.

It's not that bad. The Hogue grip does a decent job of mitigating the punishment. Still, you won't go out and put 100 rounds downrange in a single session. The recoil will get you, as well as the expense.

I most definetly DO NOT like Taurus grips. My pinky feels like its falling off the gun.

Might have something to do with THICK hands. Not real big just thick. Still...Taurus' grips don't like me.
