Voodoo Chile; with Stevie sounding more like Hendrix than Hendrix.

YES! SRV was one of the all time greats.

Dear husband.

Ah, that was actually my guess at it but wasn't sure.

Back before the internet was invented by Al Gore, there was a famous acrnym, LAGNAF, are you familiar with it?

CVA - I tried picking a banjo, but it ended up the banjo was really just picking @ me:) My brother is excellent on the acoustic guitar, my mom plays the piano and a dulcimer and I play a hammered dulcimer. One of my sister's also plays the guitar and my other sister plays a mandolin. Needless to say, we enjoy getting together and jamming:)

I can't play a bamjo at all but wish I could. I can really play with some minds with some of the songs I learned to play though. These go way back LOL. They were ones my dad taught me and I heard him play since I was crawling. "I'm going back to where I come from", "The old Apple Tree in the Orchard", "Foggy River", "Blues stay away from me", "Sweet Violets" {clean version}, "Wildwood Flower", "Under the Double Eagle", "Detour", and more.

When I saw Oh Brother where art thou the first song I liked was "I am weary". Real easy and basic. Man of Constant Sorrow? I like Peter, Paul, and Mary's version a lot better as far as the music goes and play it like that. It's a lot smoother.

I got to hear Grace Slick do these two live back in 1986. She still could do it like she meant it.

Did you ever get over to the ‘coppertop’ (Hirsch Coleseum) in Shreveport to any concerts? We managed to see a couple there.

Was popular the summer DW & I got married. Was sort of our “unofficial” honeymoon song.

Another one that when I hear, it raises goose bumps on my arms...

That's my wife's favorite group. She was raised in a small town called McGhee down near Greeneville in the 50's & 60's.

It's as small world....please tell your wife I was raised in Warren. She'll know right where it is.
