Lionel Richie - All Night Long.
Bob Seger - Hollywood Nights
Eddie Money - Two Tickets To Paradise
I love Dancin’ in the Moonlight. There are so many good ones, I could fill 2 pages with them. We lived in the best of times, we really did.
Don’t tempt me. I was very tempted to. LOL
How did we forget that one??
I don't think anyone has brought up the Who yet
I saw that concert Feburary 10th, 1980 at the Sports Arena in L.A.
What a night that was, heehee....

Your comment and nome de plume bring this story to mind:
My dh had a swollen lymph gland under his arm that kept getting larger & he wouldn't go to the doctor. I told him repeatedly to go b/c he had cat scratch fever. When the pain got so bad that he did go to the doc, the diagnosis....you guessed it....cat scratch fever.
It wasn't funny that he had the disease, it was what he said to me after he got the diagnosis that was so funny. "How in the h*ll did you know it was cat scratch fever? I thought you had been listening to Ted Nugent and were pulling my leg!" He didn't believe there was such a disease until he got it.
Ted Nugent as Secretary of Defense, I can go for that!
Yea it's my favorite Seger song too. Not many people have heard of it. It was popular when I was on the ship and got played considerably too. LOL. After I got out I learned to play the six string and Ship of Fools was among the first songs I learned. :>} For a long time I thought a sailor would have had to have written that song. It was Segers own song.
Wow, I haven't heard that one in years, completely forgot about it.
We can still listen and dance to the oldies, so these still are the best of times:)
I love these old music threads b/c I always get to listen to songs I haven't thought of in forever.
Two words - The Kinks.
Anybody remember “The Beer Drinking Song” by Mac Davis? Starts out like “It’s hard to be humble”. With a few word changes it applies for today LOL..
... and many more.
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Lookin' Out My Back Door, Keep On Chooglin', et al.
Neil Young - Old Man, Heart of Gold
Rare Earth - I Just Want To Celebrate
Sly and the Family Stone - Dance To The Music
Yes - Roundabout
You mean,
O Lord, it's hard to be humble
When your perfect in every way
I can't wait to look in the mirror
I get better looking each day
To know me is to love me
I must be a helluva man
O Lord it's hard to be hunble
But I'm doing the best that I can....
Remember John Denver's, Grandma's Feather Bed? LOL!
