You sound like a typical defender of liberal numbnuts. Which is what the Kennedy's were. Bottom line. Conservative FRee Republic is no place to be defending JFK or his brothers. Period. And No liberal should be given a pass for his/her actions today, or from 50 years ago.
My strict Catholic relatives in Johnstown PA were riding high when JFK was elected in 1960. Many of them even went to his DC inauguration. My Dad and I wanted Nixon. As with most American homes, for four solid days the TV was turned to coverage of the President's death and funeral. NBC, NOT CBS. That was then, this is NOW!
>>>>>Crazy as it sounds and looks to us now, they were the absolute top...the very "First Family" and yes, Camelot. There is no logic or reason in your post.
The term "Camelot" was applied to the Kennedy Family by Jackie, post assassination. As we know now, it was a fallacy then and a bigger fallacy today.
Thanks for acknowledging his conservative, constitutional rightist position!
Way to go!
Kennedyphilia among conservatives, especially younger ones, is probably the result of four and a half decades of the media lionizing JFK and promoting the "Camelot" myth. At the time of his presidency, conservatives liked Kennedy as much as they like Obama today.
