Hell, just let em go to the justice and get hitched in their everyday clothes and skip the hoopla. Marriage probably won’t last ten years anyway
Sadly, you’re probably right. When my daughter got married almost 13 years ago, she wanted a beautiful dress with a long train and lots of beading. I know how to sew, so I wanted to make the dress for her. It took me 6 months, but finished it two days before her wedding. The satin dress had a 5 ft. train and I hand-beaded 20,000 beads and rhinestones. (I know this because of the empty bags which were labelled with the amounts of beads in each). Princess Diana’s dress couldn’t hold a candle to it(speaking of fire). It was a labor of love for my only daughter. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of sewing on that dress.
The marriage lasted 5 years and the dress hangs in my closet today as she picks out her dress for her 2nd wedding next year.
